چکیده

Extreme natural habitats like halophytes, marsh land, and marine environment are suitable arena for chemical ecology between plants microbes having environmental impact. Endophytes an ecofriendly option the promotion of plant growth to serve as sustainable resource novel bioactive products. The present study, focusing on biodiversity bacterial endophytes from Salicornia brachiata, led isolation around 336 endophytes. Phylogenetic analysis 63 revealed 13 genera with 27 different species, belonging 3 major groups: Firmicutes, Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria. 30% endophytic isolates various demonstrated broad-spectrum antibacterial antifungal activities against a panel human, plant, aquatic infectious agents. An isolate Bacillus amyloliquefaciens 5NPA-1, exhibited strong in-vitro activity human pathogen Staphylococcus aureus phytopathogen Xanthomonas campestris. Investigation through LC–MS/MS-based molecular networking bioactivity-guided purification identification three compounds lipopeptide class based 1H-, 13C-NMR MS analysis. To our knowledge, this is first report studying brachiata its endophyte. Overall, study provides insights into diversity associated extreme rich source metabolites remarkable agricultural applications therapeutic properties.

Introgression of the SbASR-1 Gene Cloned from a Halophyte Salicornia brachiata Enhances Salinity and Drought Endurance in Transgenic Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea) and Acts as a Transcription Factor

The SbASR-1 gene, cloned from a halophyte Salicornia brachiata, encodes a plant-specific hydrophilic and stress responsive protein. The genome of S. brachiata has two paralogs of the SbASR-1 gene (2549 bp), which is comprised of a single intron of 1611 bp, the largest intron of the abscisic acid stress ripening [ASR] gene family yet reported. In silico analysis of the 843-bp putative promoter r...

A SNARE-Like Superfamily Protein SbSLSP from the Halophyte Salicornia brachiata Confers Salt and Drought Tolerance by Maintaining Membrane Stability, K+/Na+ Ratio, and Antioxidant Machinery

About 1000 salt-responsive ESTs were identified from an extreme halophyte Salicornia brachiata. Among these, a novel salt-inducible gene SbSLSP (Salicornia brachiata SNARE-like superfamily protein), showed up-regulation upon salinity and dehydration stress. The presence of cis-regulatory motifs related to abiotic stress in the putative promoter region supports our finding that SbSLSP gene is in...

Effect of Salinity upon Cell Membrane Potential in the Marine Halophyte, Salicornia bigelovii Torr.

The electrophysiology of root cells of the marine halophyte, Salicornia bigelovii Torr., has been investigated. Cellular concentrations of K(+), Cl(-), and Na(+) and resulting cell membrane potentials were determined as functions of time and exposure to dilutions of artificial seawater. Treatment of these data by the Nernst criterion suggests that Cl(-) is actively transported into these root c...

Evaluation of The Effects of Allium Jesdianum Bacterial Endophytes on Some Bacterial and Fungal Pathogens

Background and Objective: The endophytes are the fungi or bacteria that live within a plant in a symbiotic relationship. This study aimed to investigate the effect of isolated bacterial endophytes from Allium jesdianum on some bacterial pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli as well as pathogenic fungi, including Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Candida albicans. Materials an...

Transmission of Bacterial Endophytes

Plants are hosts to complex communities of endophytic bacteria that colonize the interior of both below- and aboveground tissues. Bacteria living inside plant tissues as endophytes can be horizontally acquired from the environment with each new generation, or vertically transmitted from generation to generation via seed. A better understanding of bacterial endophyte transmission routes and mode...
